2020 Kia Soul was introduced to me at the Asian Media Ride & Drive on February 27th, 2019 at the Grass Room in DTLA. I had a fun experience learning more about Kia’s new take on the boxy vehicle because of all the neat features Kia introduced. The cool part was the opportunity for attendees to test drive, for instance. First, there was a presentation for product briefing. Second, vehicle walk-around and media interview. Lastly, the test drive of the new 2020 Kia Soul.
At the event for 2020 Kia Soul, I got to hang out with Celine Linarte (@celinelinarte), Stephanie Soo (@missmangobutt), and Jessica Lee (@jessicacarrielee). I’ve known Celine for a couple of years now through mutual friends. Likewise, for Stephanie, I met her a few months ago at a different Kia event and met Jessica for the first time at this event.
Test Driving the 2020 Kia Soul
Then, the group test drove the 2020 Kia Soul to our lunch location, Odyssey in Los Angeles. The test drive was incredibly smooth for a boxcar. Previously, I’ve driven older competing models during and the 2020 Kia Soul was undeniably heavier, smoother, and felt stronger. The subcompact vehicle felt roomy inside because of mindful designs of smart packaging. It also had a tasteful, futuristic interior design.
In addition, here are some of the cool features for the 2020 Kia Soul that I learned about:
- The cockpit is technologically advanced to provide a splanchnic musical experience
- 2.0-liter engine & IVT transmission available
- Diverse Model Lineup
- Wireless charging
- 10.25-inch HD color touchscreen available
- Kia Drive Wise features forward collision avoidance, blind-spot collision warning, driver attention warning, and much more.

It was super fun during lunch at the Odyssey restaurant because there was a game quiz. This game quiz tested the attendees their knowledge of the 2020 Kia Soul, which is a great way to engage the attendees because of the cool prizes. My team (Celine, Jessica, and a few others) won the game because of our greatest efforts. Lol. I gave it my all because I wanted to win the prize for first place (a $150 certificate to a spa). Haha. I’m not quite used to vlogging because I’m more accustomed to writing blogs about beauty and fashion (read my latest here). But, I had so much fun creating one for the 2020 Kia Soul!

Lastly, I would like to say thank you so much to the Kia team for having me as a guest to this really cool event! I had a blast because of the great enthusiastic team and attendees and look forward to the next one!
